Job summary

PeerStar is seeking Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) in Pennsylvania. The role involves using lived experience to inspire hope, provide understanding, and empower individuals facing mental health challenges through 1:1 peer support. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Active CPS certification with PCB is required. Candidates must be 18 or older, able to document with an iPad, and have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CPS certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB).
• Must attest to having a mental health diagnosis and be in recovery to support others.
• Age 18 years or older.
• Must have 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR 12 months in last 3 years of paid/volunteer work.
• Ability to use an iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver’s license and reliable transportation.

• Engage in community-based 1:1 peer support to promote recovery.
• Build trust and support self-determination for others.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB).
• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.

• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
