Job summary

Peerstar LLC in Pennsylvania is seeking a PCB Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) to support individuals facing mental health challenges using lived experience. You’ll provide hope, understanding, and empowerment through personal experience, helping people navigate recovery and build meaningful connections.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CPS certification through PCB.
• Ability to attest to mental health recovery journey and support others.
• Age 18+ and available for either full-time or part-time roles.
• Ability to use an iPad for documentation and records.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 peer support to individuals in recovery.
• Promote empowerment and self-determination through lived experience.
• Build trust and encouragement to help others progress in recovery.
• Coordinate with care teams where appropriate.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB).
• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
