Job summary

PeerStar is Pennsylvania's largest and most established peer support provider, operating exclusively in the peer support space since 2008. We employ Certified Peer Specialists (CPS) and Certified Recovery Specialists (CRS)—individuals with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use challenges—who receive specialized training to support others on their recovery journey.

As a CPS, you’ll inspire hope, deliver understanding, and empower others through shared experience.

Qualifications

• Must have an active CPS certification from the PCB.
• Must attest to having a mental health diagnosis and recovery progress.
• Eighteen years of age or older.
• 6 months of consecutive employment or 12 months of recent paid/volunteer work.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Provide hope and empowerment through shared lived experience.
• Offer 1:1 peer support to individuals on their recovery journeys.
• Build trust and assist others toward growth and self-determination.

Qualifications:

• Must have an active Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification through the Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB).
• Must be able to attest to having a mental health diagnosis and have reached a point in their recovery pathway where they can positively support others in similar situations
• Eighteen (18) years of age and older.
• Must have maintained 6 months of consecutive employment or volunteer work experience; OR within the last three (3) years, have maintained at least 12 months of successful full or part-time paid or volunteer work experience.
• Ability to use iPad for documentation.
• Must have a driver's license and reliable transportation.
