Job summary

Gary and Mary West PACE in San Marcos, CA, is seeking a PCA Lead to guide day-center Personal Care Attendants, ensuring compassionate, high-quality care and compliance with policies.

You will train staff, coordinate daily tasks, monitor workflow, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to promote safety, dignity, and participant engagement. This role also offers opportunities for professional growth within a supportive, mission-driven culture.

Qualifications

• Must possess, at minimum, a GED or high school diploma.
• CNA Certification preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Original valid driver license with proof of auto insurance.
• Clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead PCA staff on a day-to-day basis within the Day Center.
• Assist with assigning and coordinating PCA daily responsibilities and participant care needs.
• Monitor workflow to ensure timely and effective participant care.
• Provide guidance, coaching, and training to PCA staff.
• Communicate staffing concerns and operational challenges to Center Manager.
• Maintain documentation and ensure adherence to HIPAA and safety policies.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to promote participant dignity and engagement.
