Job summary

Gary and Mary West PACE is seeking a Referral Specialist in San Marcos, CA to coordinate medical, dental, and optical referrals and authorizations. You will work under the Scheduling Manager to ensure timely processing and secure access to services for PACE participants.

Responsibilities include interfacing with providers, managing medical records, and ensuring HIPAA compliance while maintaining a compassionate, patient-centered approach within a multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Medical Terminology Certification preferred.
• Medical Assistant Certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes referrals and authorizations in a timely manner.
• Coordinates care with primary care providers and clinical coordinators.
• Interfaces with specialty offices to answer questions regarding referral and authorization statuses.
• Navigate and utilize an EMR platform to produce comprehensive referrals.
