Job summary

Gary and Mary West PACE in San Marcos, CA is seeking a Dietary Aide Lead to support the Dietary Supervisor and Dietitians in delivering safe, therapeutic nutrition services to program participants.

You will receive vendor meals, monitor temperatures, keep a sanitary kitchen, and ensure compliance with food safety, while helping a compassionate, mission-driven team serve frail seniors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of food service experience with frail/elderly population.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Driver license with proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead Kitchen Aide team to ensure participants’ meals are provided.
• Receive vendor-prepared food and prep for meal service.
• Measure and record temperatures to ensure food safety.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary kitchen and rotate inventory.
• Document meal counts and other required records in EMR daily.
• Support vendor relations and ensure kitchen operations meet standards.
