Job summary

MEP Health in North Carolina is seeking a Personal Care Aide to provide in-home care services to clients, following care plans, and supporting daily living activities.

You will assist with personal care, monitor client condition, maintain safety and infection control, and report concerns to supervision, while respecting privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred; ability to read and write required.
• Minimum of 6 months caregiving experience, validated through references.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Follow client care plans and complete daily tasks via EVV or electronic timesheets.
• Assist with personal care such as bathing, grooming, ambulating, and meal preparation, including special diet considerations.
• Support clients with self-help and ensure safety precautions and infection control procedures are followed.
• Perform secondary tasks like laundry, cleaning, grocery shopping, and meal prep, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Respect client confidentiality, privacy, and rights, providing quality care within scope of credentials.
• Monitor client condition changes and report any concerns or unsafe situations to supervisor.
• Assist with self-administration of medications, but not administering medications directly.
• Report suspected abuse, neglect, or privacy violations immediately.
