Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System is seeking a Mobile PC Maintenance Technician to install, relocate and troubleshoot computer systems and peripherals across the organization. You will manage parts inventory, log requests, and support users with hardware, software, and network issues.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with an Associate degree or related certification preferred. Two years of desktop equipment experience is expected, with strong customer service and communication

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate degree or related certification preferred.
  • At least two years' experience with desktop equipment installations and configurations.

Responsibilities

  • Install or relocate computer equipment at user locations with proper electrical access and network connectivity.
  • Log service requests in Helpdesk Call Tracking and collect user data for troubleshooting.
  • Provide information and updates to customers until issue resolution.
  • Troubleshoot moderately complex hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors for data equipment installation and maintenance.
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts and document system configurations.
