Job summary

SUNY Upstate Medical University is looking for a PC Support Technician to install, troubleshoot, and repair PC hardware and software in a fast-paced university environment.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of PC support and customer service experience, with strong communication and interpersonal skills to assist faculty, staff, and students across departments.

Work days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional moves or migrations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one year of experience in PC support and customer service or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and repair PC hardware and software.
• Support deployments: new devices, moves, migrations.
• Diagnose connectivity issues with client devices, printers, servers and hosts.

Research and resolve hardware and software problems as necessary. Troubleshoot connectivity problems with client devices, network printers, files servers and host systems.
