Job summary

The Center for Improving Youth Justice in the United States seeks a PbS Coach to guide jurisdictions in implementing the PbS continuous improvement model within secure facilities, translating data into actionable improvement plans.

You will provide coaching and technical assistance, build partnerships with facility leadership, and travel regularly to sites to support implementation and foster sustained change.

Qualifications

• Extensive, senior-level experience in juvenile justice, including leadership within secure facilities.
• Demonstrated experience managing operations at the facility and/or agency level.
• Deep understanding of conditions of confinement, youth development, and system improvement efforts.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build trust across diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze data and guide organizations in using data to drive decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide coaching and technical assistance to support PbS implementation across jurisdictions.
• Foster partnerships with facility staff, leadership, and agency partners to enable continuous improvement.
• Guide data-driven improvement efforts and translate PbS findings into actionable plans.
• Communicate feedback clearly to site and agency leadership and share best practices.
• Travel to sites for on-site visits and in-person support around PbS cycles.
