Job summary

Bays, Inc. is seeking a Lead Community Supervision Specialist to supervise and guide youth on caseload, serving as a circuit office leader and backup to senior staff as needed.

The role requires supervisory experience, a related associate degree, and a valid driver’s license with auto insurance coverage. Duties include data entry, crisis notification, court attendance, and participating in review meetings to uphold supervision standards.

Qualifications

• Associate in Human Services, Criminology or closely related field preferred; 2 years’ experience with at risk youth.
• At least one year of supervisory experience; familiarity with Juvenile Justice System preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and auto insurance coverage.

Responsibilities

• Enter data and reports into required database systems.
• Notify supervisor and Probation Officer immediately in case of youth crisis, suspected illegal activity or any incident.
• Attend detention hearings in Circuit Court to complete initial contact requirements and GPS device handling.
• Attend weekly Supervised Release Review Committee meetings to provide updates and participate in decisions on supervision standards.
• Review the daily alerts report.
• Respond to violations of supervision per contract requirements.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
