Job summary

SESI, a division of FullBloom, seeks a Behavior Support Specialist to deliver individualized services and support under the CASE framework. You will monitor student behavior, track progress, and reinforce learning by collaborating with teachers and parents across in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

Responsibilities include leading small groups, conducting assessments, and implementing de-escalation techniques while maintaining student safety and well-being in a supportive educational

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.
• Valid driver’s license to perform student transportation using school van.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Lead small group instruction implementing SESI’s academic rotational model.
• Partner with the teacher to provide customized behavior and academic support and conduct assessments.
• Reinforce learning using data to determine materials and complete one-on-one tutorials.
• Assist the teacher with large group activities, grading, and accommodations as needed.
• Utilize behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management to maintain safety.
• Support creation and implementation of daily plans and track student progress.
• Supervise students and ensure monitoring to and from locations.
• Collaborate with other teachers and service providers to address needs.
