Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is hiring a behavior support specialist to work with students with intensive behavioral needs in school settings. You will collaborate with teachers and staff to implement customized strategies under the CASE PBIS framework.

The role emphasizes de-escalation, monitoring, and documentation of progress while supporting families and school teams in delivering holistic, positive outcomes for students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or equivalent with coursework in education or related field.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive needs.
• Emotional consistency and resilience to handle stressful situations.
• Flexibility to jump in and support where needed to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school staff to support students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Provide monitoring and support across the school site (classrooms, transitions, etc.).
• Assist in creating and implementing behavior support plans.
• Record and document behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Apply positive behavioral interventions and school incentive programs.
• Use de-escalation techniques and crisis management when necessary.

Education
