Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI), a division of FullBloom, seeks a behavior support specialist to collaborate with school staff in in-district classrooms and standalone programs.

You will provide customized behavior support, implement PBIS strategies, and help students with intensive needs achieve positive outcomes. You will work on a multidisciplinary team, document progress, and communicate with parents, contributing to a safe and inclusive learning environment throughout the school

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college experience or bachelor's degree highly preferred.
• Experience implementing behavioral interventions for students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Emotional consistency and resilience to handle stressful situations.
• Flexibility to jump in and support to ensure safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with school staff, teachers, and leaders to support students with intensive behavioral needs.
• Provide customized behavior support and utilize positive behavioral intervention and support strategies.
• Record, track, and document behavioral incidents and progress toward goals.
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment and work with interdisciplinary team for differentiated support.
• Operate de-escalation techniques, crisis management, and physical intervention if necessary to maintain safety.
• Communicate with parents and participate in post-incident debriefings.
