Job summary

Salsa, based in Minnesota, seeks a payroll corrections expert to join our embedded payroll infrastructure team. You will tackle complex corrections, amendments, and tax notices, tracing how a quarter's issue spirals and determining the sequence to fix it.

You will document resolutions, work with tax operations, product, and engineering, and help automate repeatable parts to speed future cases, while explaining results clearly to partners and employers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on corrections, amendments, and notice resolution within a payroll provider context.
• Ability to trace case patterns and connect root causes.
• Strong writing to explain complex payroll issues.

Responsibilities

• Resolve complex payroll corrections with proper wage classifications and tax updates.
• Prepare and file amended returns (941-X, state/local, W-2c).
• Own tax notices end to end from research to abatements.
• Identify patterns to improve product/configuration and partner with teams.
• Explain resolutions to non-payroll stakeholders.
• Document workflows and help automate repeatable parts.
