Job summary

Discovery Land Company is hiring a Payroll Specialist to support multi-state payroll operations in the Finance & Accounting department. You will backup the Payroll Manager and collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure accurate data and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has strong experience with Workday Payroll, OSV services, and payroll tax compliance across multiple entities, with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of multi-state payroll experience.
• Hands-on Workday Payroll experience.
• Experience with OneSource Virtual (OSV) payroll services.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Experience with multi-entity payroll setups.
• Advanced Excel for payroll reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and off-cycle payrolls accurately.
• Maintain Workday payroll data and support changes.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT on payroll issues.
• Coordinate OSV payroll activities and service tickets.
• Ensure payroll tax compliance across jurisdictions and new entities.
• Prepare payroll reports and assist audits and SOX controls.
• Back up Payroll Manager and participate in system improvements.
