Discovery Land Company in Scottsdale, Arizona seeks a full-time Payroll Specialist to join the Finance and Accounting Department. This role supports multi-state payroll processing and serves as backup to Payroll Manager.

You will partner with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure compliance with payroll regulations, Workday Payroll and OSV services, and tax filings across jurisdictions. Attention to detail and fast-paced adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience in a multi-state environment.
• Hands-on Workday Payroll experience required.
• Experience with OneSource Virtual (OSV) services and payroll tax compliance.
• Experience setting up new entities and tax jurisdictions.
• Advanced Excel for payroll reporting and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, and off-cycle payrolls for multiple states.
• Audit earnings, deductions, taxes, garnishments, and benefits.
• Reconcile payroll-related GL accounts and prepare reports.
• Maintain Workday payroll data and support testing/upgrades.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, and IT to ensure data accuracy.
• Serve as OSV liaison for payroll issues and tax filings.
• Assist with W-2s, year-end activities, and SOX-related tasks.
