Job summary

Genesis HealthCare System is seeking a Payroll Associate to support weekly and biweekly payroll processing for employees and partner companies. The role focuses on data entry, report generation, and timely processing within the Workday system.

Responsibilities include handling wage verifications, garnishments, and time/profile changes, with strict attention to confidentiality and accuracy. A high school diploma and at least one year of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• A minimum of one year of experience in a related field.
• Ability to handle confidential information.
• Demonstrates patience and good judgment.
• Strong mathematical skills.
• Familiar with PC and computer software, including MS Office.
• Attention to detail.
• Possess effective writing and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares wage verifications, workers' comp wages, unemployment wages, loss wage reports, court documents, etc., and completes by requested dates.
• Processes all government-related court-ordered forms, garnishments, child support, educational loans, IRS levy, etc, for the employees' payroll deduction process.
• Processes and maintains authorized changes to employee time and profile through Workday.
• Reconciles various payroll reports that delineate hours, fringe benefits, deductions, and any other payroll-related amounts.
• Compiles payroll data reports for check requests, accounting reports, accrual reports, payroll registers, etc., on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis.
• May apply governmental regulatory standards for processing payroll data accurately.
• Facilitates the timely completion of any special projects or payroll deadlines.
• Maintains accurate data entry for all employees' general deductions, Pharmacy, Gift Shops, Uniforms, special sales, etc. and, also enters any additional premiums an employee may qualify for based on their job codes on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis.
• Maintains all supplies (advice/check stock, paper, printer cartridges, etc.) necessary for completing all payroll cycles for the organization.
