Position Details

• Fully Onsite
• Standard Work Hours: 8.0 hours/day
• Shift Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Full or Part time 20-30 hr/wk
• Assignment Duration: Temporary Contract (Estimated 2 – 3 months)

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist for a temporary 2-to-3-month assignment. This role is responsible for supporting core payroll processing, timecard verification, and ensuring certified payroll and prevailing wage compliance.

Core Responsibilities

• Process payroll efficiently and conduct accurate timecard reviews.
• Prepare and submit certified payroll reports in accordance with state and federal standards.
• Manage daily Accounts Receivable (AR) duties (approx. 60% of workload) including preparing and issuing customer invoices.
• Apply incoming customer payments, reconcile customer ledgers, and maintain accurate financial documentation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Required: 3–5 years of payroll processing experience using ADP Workforce Now (ADP WFN).
• Solid understanding of biweekly payroll workflows, PTO accrual tracking, and timecard verification.
• Basic accounting/AR knowledge (Controller will train on specific AR workflows; no complex or prevailing wage required).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer accounting systems.
• High accuracy, strong organizational skills, and strict confidentiality with financial data.
• Ability to start immediately for shadowing/training before December.
