Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Payroll Specialist to manage bi-weekly payroll for roughly 6,000 employees across six union groups. You will ensure accurate compensation, manage deductions, and maintain confidentiality while collaborating with employees, managers, and HR.

The role requires independence, prioritization, and strict adherence to deadlines. Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor’s in Business/Accounting and CPP designation, with experience in Munis/Skyward or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience with in-house systems (Munis, Skyward or similar).
• Knowledge of payroll taxes, garnishments and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process multi-cycle payroll for about 6,000 employees across union groups.
• Handle timekeeping, deductions, tax deposits and year-end activities.
• Prepare payroll reports and reconcile with GL accounts.
• Respond to employee inquires and maintain data confidentiality.
• Stay updated on federal, state, and local payroll laws.
