Job summary

AHRC Nassau is seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to manage biweekly, off-cycle, bonus, quarterly, and year-end payrolls for AHRC Nassau and affiliates in New York. This role requires accuracy, confidentiality, and strong regulatory knowledge.

You will audit timesheets, ensure precise payroll processing, and support annual reporting while maintaining strict data security and compliance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent and 3–5 years UKG payroll and time & attendance experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of UltiPro or similar payroll software.
• Excellent numerical, typing, and written/oral communications.
• Organized, detail oriented with understanding of payroll confidentiality.
• Able to take directives, show initiative, multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Process biweekly, off-cycle, bonus, quarterly, and year-end payrolls for all entities on time and accurately.
• Audit timesheets and convert into payroll templates/CSV files for import into payroll database.
• Ensure overtime payments are processed and allocated correctly.
• Reconcile imported payroll data with audit reports prior to transmission.
• Assist with quarterly/year-end reporting and payroll audits.
• Assist with payroll data updates, transfers, and new hires/terminations while maintaining data integrity.
• Prepare and distribute checks and maintain secure payroll records.
• Maintain compliance with federal and state payroll regulations.
