Job summary

AHRC Nassau seeks a Sr Payroll Specialist II to manage end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for the organization and its Affiliates, ensuring timely, accurate wage payments and strict regulatory compliance.

Under the Payroll Manager, this role drives process improvement, utilizes UKG time and attendance data, handles W-2 reporting and garnishments, and supports year-end audits while promoting inclusive, compliant payroll operations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree with 3+ years payroll experience OR high school diploma with 5+ years relevant experience.
• CPP track is a plus; experience with Kronos, UKG Pro, ADP, Workday preferred.
• Strong Microsoft Office, especially Excel; excellent communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end bi-weekly payroll for AHRC Nassau and affiliates.
• Ensure timely review and approvals of timecards and change of status forms.
• Enter timesheets in UKG (WFM) and import to UKG UltiPRO payroll database.
• Calculate and allocate overtime and supplemental payments per policy.
• Handle third-party sick pay, car allowances, adjustments for W-2 reporting.
• Prepare payroll reports: payroll registers, deduction summaries, tax reconciliations.
• Verify PTO benefits and ensure accurate payment and accruals.
• Reconcile leave of absence, paid family leave, suspensions.
• Resolve wage inquiries, wage tax discrepancies, garnishments.
• Support final payroll transmission to ADP for print services.
• Prepare off-cycle payrolls and manual checks.
• Assist Assistant Payroll Manager as needed.
