Job summary

Riot Platforms, Inc. is hiring a Payroll Specialist in a hybrid role based out of Round Rock, TX. You will manage multi-entity payroll across several states, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and seamless integration with accounting and benefits.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in union/multi-state payroll, plus a CPP certification is highly preferred. Proficiency with ADP/Workday/ Dayforce or SAP SuccessFactors is valued, along with strong Excel skills and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing union, multi-state, multi-entity payroll in complex environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification highly preferred.
• Experience with major platforms such as ADP, Workday, Dayforce, or SAP SuccessFactors is valued.
• Deep knowledge of state tax compliance, multi-state payroll regulations, and wage garnishment laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly payroll cycles for multiple entities across states.
• Review timekeeping data, reconcile hours, overtime, and leave balances to resolve discrepancies.
• Enter payroll data and maintain records including earnings, taxes, deductions, and non-taxable wages.
• Support year-end payroll close and the preparation of W-2s.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Benefits, and Compensation teams to ensure correct deductions.
• Provide payroll reports for management, audits, and cross-functional departments.
