RSM US LLP is seeking a Senior Payroll Specialist to manage weekly and biweekly multi-state payroll for clients, ensure tax compliance, and deliver accurate reports. The role emphasizes client relationships, problem solving, and staying current with payroll regulations.

The position requires 5+ years of experience, proficiency with ADP Workforce Now, strong Excel skills, and willingness to travel up to 20%. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance is preferred, CPP/FCP certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full cycle payroll processing experience in a multi-state or international environment.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now.
• Microsoft Office 365, Excel (including basic formulas and VLOOKUPs).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking skills with an emphasis on problem-solving.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Processing weekly and biweekly full cycle, multi-state payroll for clients.
• Reconcile and work on tax balancing per pay cycle, quarterly and annual filings.
• Year-end processing.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients and leaders.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders in client organizations.
• Identify problems and root causes to offer solutions.
• Stay informed about payroll regulations to ensure compliance.
• Maintain knowledge of multiple payroll software products.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.
• Operate with multiple levels of client organizations.
• Present to executives and forecast projects within the consulting rhythm.
