Job summary

RRM Design Group is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join the Accounting team in a full-time role. You will manage payroll for a multi-state workforce, handling exempt and non-exempt employees and prevailing wage payroll with compliance oversight.

You will work closely with the Controller, maintain accuracy of timecards, stay updated on payroll laws, and ensure timely reporting and reconciliation with accounting systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years of payroll experience.
• Associates degree in accounting or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to quickly analyze problems and provide solutions.

Responsibilities

• Accurately processing payroll for a multi-state company for exempt and non-exempt employees.
• Processing prevailing wage payroll and related compliance paperwork.
• Reviewing timecards for accuracy and required approvals.
• Staying up to date on payroll laws, including prevailing wage.
• Reconciling payroll records with accounting systems and third party systems.
• Monthly/quarterly/annual payroll reporting.
• Responsible for payroll reporting in compliance with state and federal laws.
