Job summary

Renewal by Andersen is seeking a payroll professional to manage semi-monthly payroll for about 700 employees across WA, ID, CA, and OR. You will audit hours, deductions, and benefits, ensuring compliance with wage laws and tax regulations.

Collaborating with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations, you will identify workflow improvements and automate reporting. Strong Excel skills and 3+ years of payroll experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of payroll processing experience.
• Experience processing payroll for 500+ employees.
• Experience processing multi-state payroll.
• Strong understanding of federal, state, and local wage and hour laws, payroll tax regulations, garnishments, and deductions.
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems such as Paylocity, ADP, UKG, Workday, or similar platforms.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with demonstrated experience using Excel for formulas, data analysis, auditing, and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Process accurate semi-monthly payroll for approximately 700 employees across multiple states (WA, ID, CA, and OR) and legal entities.
• Audit payroll data including hours worked, commissions, bonuses, deductions, taxes, garnishments, PTO balances, and benefit deductions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.
• Partner with HR, Benefits, Finance, and Operations to support payroll accuracy and compliance.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll workflows, reporting, automation, and operational efficiencies.
• Draft, distribute, and maintain clear, professional, and timely written communications to team members and leaders across multiple locations.
