AIR Communities in Denver is hiring a Temporary Payroll Specialist (potential to go permanent) to join our centralized team in the Denver Tech Center, CO. This in-office role supports the payroll function across multiple states and requires accuracy and timeliness.

What you will do includes processing payroll, applying tax reciprocity, handling garnishments, calculating commissions and bonuses, and maintaining records.

Qualifications

• High School degree and 3+ years multistate payroll experience.
• Experience with UKG is preferred; HR benefits and payroll tax exposure valued.
• Ability to work independently, research and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multi-tasking, time management and Excel skills (vlookups, formulas).
• Experience with UltiPro and Workforce Dimensions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, verify, and process payroll accurately and on time.
• Apply payroll processing knowledge, tax reciprocity and garnishments.
• Assist with calculating commissions, paychecks, and bonuses; maintain payroll records.
• Resolve inquiries from team members; review others' work for accuracy.
• Handle and upload files for commissions, bonuses, and payments within deadlines.
