Job summary

Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry in Manitowoc, WI is seeking a Payroll Specialist who can own the payroll process from start to finish, ensuring accurate and timely pay while protecting confidentiality. You will handle timekeeping, deductions, and payroll reporting with precision and integrity.

You will work alongside an experienced payroll professional during a transition period, learning our processes and building confidence before taking full ownership of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Payroll or accounting experience preferred in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of payroll data.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Comfort with office systems, spreadsheets, and integrated software.

Responsibilities

• Enter and review production and employee timekeeping information.
• Research and correct discrepancies to ensure accurate pay.
• Prepare payroll information for deductions, garnishments, child support, and other items.
• Review and balance payroll registers, edits, and summaries.
• Process weekly payroll checks and required reports.
• Prepare information and vouchers for banking and payment of payroll liabilities.
• Maintain employee pay profiles and deductions in the payroll/ERP system.
• Respond to employee and third-party payroll information requests.
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, supervisors, and employees to resolve payroll questions.
• Identify problems and follow through to resolution.
• Perform other duties that support payroll and accounting functions.
