Job summary

Serengeti Care is seeking a Payroll Support to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in a multi-state environment. You will handle time records, deductions, PTO, and regulatory compliance while maintaining confidentiality in collaboration with managers and staff.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, organizational and analytical skills, with opportunities to generate reports and participate in audits and process improvements.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state environment.
• Experience with garnishments, tax withholdings, and payroll compliance preferred.
• Strong understanding of payroll regulations, wage and hour laws, and payroll best practices.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll accurately and timely in compliance with federal, state, and multi-state regulations.
• Verify employee time records, leave balances, overtime, and payroll deductions prior to processing.
• Review and resolve payroll discrepancies in coordination with managers and department leaders.
• Monitor PTO balances to ensure accuracy and compliance with policies.
• Maintain payroll records, tax forms, and supporting documents.
