Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Payroll Specialist to provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients. Under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, this role manages client relationships and payroll processing, ensuring accurate data and compliance with payroll laws.

Responsibilities include processing payrolls, updating records, calculating bonuses, reviewing tax calculations, and generating reports.

Qualifications

  • 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
  • Ability to provide exceptional client service.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately and professionally communicates with all levels.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients.
  • Independently manage client relationships under supervision, escalating issues as needed.
  • Establish strong and trusted client relationships by effectively consulting on payroll matters.
  • Maintain confidentiality of employee data and communicate information clearly.
  • Provide technical software support to clients and identify out of scope work.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand services to clients.
  • Manage new client implementation projects, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
  • Train clients on payroll processes as necessary.
