Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Payroll Specialist to provide direct support and consulting to our payroll clients. This role requires deep payroll knowledge and the ability to maintain current knowledge of payroll practices and laws to deliver accurate information.

Under the supervision of the Payroll Supervisor, you will independently manage client relationships, escalating issues for prompt resolution when needed.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree
• Associate degree preferred
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong attention to detail and time management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system and resolve discrepancies
• Process payrolls timely to meet client deadlines, update employee records, and reconcile payroll deposits and withholding taxes
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions
