Job summary

Baker Tilly US is seeking a Payroll Specialist to provide direct support and consulting to our payroll clients. You will understand payroll in depth, stay current on laws, and independently manage client relationships under supervision.

Responsibilities include ensuring payroll data accuracy, processing payrolls to deadlines, preparing earnings and tax reports, implementing client projects, and training clients on payroll processes. Strong ADP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
  • Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system.
  • Process payrolls in a timely manner to meet client deadlines, update records, and review tax calculations.
  • Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
  • Establish strong and trusted client relationships and maintain data confidentiality.
  • Manage new client implementations and train clients on payroll processes.
