Job summary

The Onix Group in Kennett Square, PA is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team. You will provide client and employee support for payroll, ensuring accurate, timely delivery of payroll and related services in a collaborative environment across payroll, accounting, finance, and HR.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of payroll experience, strong data entry skills, and knowledge of payroll tax laws. We offer a competitive benefits package and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of office data entry and payroll processing.
• Solid understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance.
• Experience with Paycom and/or ADP, Paylocity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Read and analyze payroll data supplied by clients.

This individual will be responsible for the accurate, timely delivery of payroll and related services that result in employee satisfaction. This individual will operate in a team environment that includes payroll, accounting, finance, and human resources. This person will be responsible for timely communication of client related information to peers, supervisors and service team members to ensure a consistent service approach. This position requires heavy problem solving and decision-making governed by procedure, guided by policy and focused on daily operations.Duties & ResponsibilitiesThrough proficiency in payroll administration and practices, ensures accurate compliance with payroll laws and regulations.Delivers payroll services in various client company structures.Accurately analyzes payroll data supplied by clients.Accurately inputs and balances payroll data.Accurately analyzes payroll reports for distribution to clients.Provide support for Payroll processing and answer and resolve questions / problemsAbility to process all employee payroll from new hire to terminations in a payroll systemEnforce department and company policies and proceduresFollow up on status of open payroll related issuesRespond to customer inquiries, both internal and externalCommunication and training of business / staff units on Payroll processes / proceduresContacts clients daily to obtain payroll data including salary adjustments, special payments, tax allocations and employee deductions and to set schedulesResearch and resolve payroll problemsProcess weekly transfer of payroll data to payroll providerEstablishes and maintains positive working relationshipsAssist with auditsComplete benefit/ deduction reconciliations and invoicingEducation, Experience & SkillsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.Minimum 2 years’ office experience in data entry and payroll processingSolid understanding of payroll and payroll tax lawExperience working with payroll processing system (Paycom, ADP, Paylocity, ect)
