Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a payroll specialist to provide direct payroll client support and consulting. This role requires understanding payroll processes, maintaining knowledge of payroll practices and laws, and independently managing client relationships under supervision.

You will work with ADP software, implement client projects, train clients on payroll processes, and help identify opportunities to expand services.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately and professionally communicates with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct payroll client support and consulting under supervision of Payroll Supervisor.
• Independently manage client relationships while escalating issues when needed for prompt resolution.
• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system and resolve discrepancies.
• Process payrolls timely to meet deadlines; update employee records and calculate bonuses or severance.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
