Job summary

Met-Con Inc. is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to join our growing team in New York. You will lead payroll staff, maintain processing systems, and ensure accurate and timely payroll for office and field employees.

Responsibilities include updating payroll for new hires, terminations, rate changes, processing weekly payroll and reimbursements, handling taxes and year-end forms, assisting HR and Accounting, and supporting benefits data and insurance files.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate's degree in accounting or related field.
• Minimum 3+ years of payroll experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Strong multi-tasking, time management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support payroll staff.
• Maintain and review payroll processing systems for accurate payroll transactions.
• Ensure timely processing of updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
• Process weekly payroll for office and field employees.
• Provide assistance to Human Resources as needed.
• Process weekly employee expense reimbursements.
• File payroll taxes weekly, quarterly, and year-end; process W-2s.
• Facilitate audits by providing records to auditors.
• Assist Accounting Department.
• Download/upload data files weekly for health and dental insurance.
• Process company credit card transactions.
