Met-Con Inc. is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead the payroll team and optimize processing systems. You will oversee payroll for office and field staff, handle deductions, taxes, and benefits, and support HR and Accounting as needed.

Strong communication skills and a background in accounting are required, with experience in audits and tax filings. A focus on accuracy and timely processing is essential to keep payroll compliant and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• 3+ years of related experience with leadership preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll processes, taxes, and controls.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supports payroll staff.
• Implements and maintains payroll processing systems for salaries, benefits, 401k, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures timely processing of updates for new hires, terminations, and pay changes.
• Processes weekly payroll for office and field employees.
• Supports Human Resources as needed.
• Processes weekly employee expense reimbursements.
• Files payroll taxes weekly, quarterly, and year-end, and processes W2s.
• Facilitates audits by providing records to auditors.
• Supports Accounting Department.
• Downloads and uploads data files weekly for health and dental insurance.
• Processes company credit card transactions.
