Job summary

Kinsley Steel, Inc. is seeking a payroll supervisor/manager to lead the payroll function for both office and field staff in the United States.

The role requires overseeing payroll processing, updates, taxes, and benefits while collaborating with Human Resources and the Accounting Department. The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Accounting, 3+ years in payroll, and strong communication skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Accounting or related field required.
• 3+ years of related experience; leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Extensive knowledge of payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal control, and payroll taxes.

Responsibilities

• Manages and supports payroll staff.
• Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, 401k, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
• Processes weekly payroll for office and field employees.
• Provides assistance to Human Resources as needed.
• Process weekly employee expense reimbursements.
• Files payroll taxes weekly, quarterly, and year-end as well as processing W2's.
• Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
• Provides assistance to the Accounting Department.
• Downloads and uploads data files weekly for health and dental insurance.
• Processes company credit card transactions.
