Job summary

NLACRC seeks an Operations Accounting Supervisor to lead payroll and operations accounting in a dynamic nonprofit setting. The role reports to the Controller or Director of Finance and oversees payroll and operations teams, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and internal control compliance.

Responsibilities include bank reconciliations, payables, fixed assets, and monthly/annual closings, with opportunities to contribute to policy improvements and system implementations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years payroll experience and 5 years progressive accounting experience.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead payroll and operations accounting teams; ensure timely, accurate processing and QA.
• Oversee bank reconciliations and accounts payable; manage fixed assets.
• Support monthly/annual closings and financial reporting.
• Develop staff via training and coaching; implement process improvements.
• Collaborate with management to identify department needs and policy improvements.
