Zusammenfassung

Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF) in Alaska is seeking Payroll Technicians (Human Resource Technician 2) to help build a new Payroll Services team. You will process payroll, personnel, and leave transactions in accordance with rules and agreements, and provide guidance to managers and employees across DOT&PF.

Positions may be located in Juneau or Anchorage. In-state telework may be possible after training.

Qualifikationen

• Six months of entry technical level experience in human resource work equivalent to a Human Resource Technician 1 with the State of Alaska or the equivalent elsewhere.
• Graduation from high school or the equivalent and one year of advanced clerical experience.
• One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours) from an accredited college or university equals one year.
• “Human resource” work includes experience in recruitment and selection, classification, employee training, employer provided benefits programs, employment law compliance, personnel, payroll, or employee or labor relations.

Aufgaben

• Process payroll, personnel, and leave transactions accurately and timely per applicable rules and agreements.
• Provide technical information and assistance to managers, supervisors, employees, and other customers regarding payroll and personnel matters.
• Support the transition of payroll services from centralized to decentralized model within DOT&PF.
