Job summary

The State of Alaska is seeking an entry-level Human Resources Technician in Juneau or Anchorage. You will analyze and certify timesheets, process personnel actions, and ensure payroll transactions meet state rules and procedures.

Candidates should have foundational HR clerical experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and some postsecondary education. A structured training program and clear career progression are offered.

Qualifications

• Six months of entry-level HR experience.
• High school graduation or equivalent.
• One year of postsecondary education (32 semester hours or 48 quarter hours) from an accredited college or university.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, calculate, audit and certify timesheets and process personnel actions accurately and timely.
• Ensure payroll and leave transactions comply with Personnel Rules, bargaining unit provisions, state statutes, and SOPs.
