You will own payroll processing across multiple states and support HR workflows, serving as the go-to contact for payroll questions while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality throughout the pay cycle.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of payroll experience, including multi-state payroll.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
• Supervisory or team lead experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience with payroll tax reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and manage payroll processing, including multi-state payroll.
• Support key HR workflows.
• Be a direct point of contact for employee payroll questions.
• Ensure accurate processing and clear communication throughout the pay cycle.
• Manage payroll processing across multiple states
• Answer payroll questions from employees
• Review and approve payroll for accuracy
• Update payroll records as needed
• Issue paychecks
• Enter new hire information into the system
• Complete verification of employment
• Support internal and external audits
• Coordinate payroll tax filings, quarterly reporting, and year-end activities
• Maintain confidentiality with employee information
