Job summary

Avalon Golf and Country Club is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll & HR Coordinator to handle weekly payroll processing and broad HR support. This role emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, and dependable service to employees and managers.

You will manage timecards, onboarding, benefits enrollment, and HR records while contributing to HR initiatives and process improvements. A professional, employee-focused attitude is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll/HR experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Confidentiality and sound judgment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Office.
• Experience with payroll or HRIS systems preferred.
• Knowledge of payroll practices/regulations.
• Able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Positive, professional, employee-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
• Review timecards, overtime, bonuses, deductions, and other payroll information.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll and personnel records.
• Schedule interviews, conduct background checks, and coordinate new-hire onboarding.
• Input employee changes, including promotions, pay changes, transfers, and terminations.
• Support employee benefits enrollment and administration.
• Respond to employee questions regarding payroll, benefits, policies, and HR matters.
• Track attendance, time off, and other employee information.
• Maintain confidential personnel and payroll files.
• Assist with HR policies, procedures, compliance, and employee communications.
• Support performance reviews, employee engagement, and other HR initiatives.
• Prepare payroll and HR reports as needed.
• Assist with payroll and HR audits and year-end activities, including W-2 processing.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll and HR processes.
