White Sands Healthcare in Hobbs, NM seeks a Payroll and HR Coordinator to manage payroll processing, benefits, and employee relations in line with company policies and applicable laws.

You will handle onboarding, recruitment support, and records management while ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in payroll operations, compliance with labor regulations, and coordination with department heads.

Formación

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years’ proven experience as a payroll specialist.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines/regulations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll application systems.
• Strong understanding of payroll accounting and best practices.
• Ability to handle confidential material with discretion.
• High accuracy and attention to detail.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinates payroll information by completing payroll preparation, reports and maintaining records.
• Manages day-to-day payroll and HR tasks with urgency and sensitivity for timely completion; performs payroll close per Swipe Clock manual.
• Maintains, prepares, and processes semi-monthly payroll for 50-1100+ employees.
• Processes Time Keeping daily for distribution to department heads for review and correction; enters edits as needed.
• Reconciles payroll before transmission and validates reports.
• Manages payroll variables such as shift differentials, overtime, on-call, and employee status.
• Manages personnel files and time keeping to ensure audit-ready records; reviews licenses and certifications for current status.
• Maintains confidentiality of employee information and records.
• Documents progressive disciplinary actions, suspensions, terminations, investigations and performance management including merit-based pay.
• Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs and assists in interviewing and hiring.
