Job summary

Socorro Wellness & Rehabilitation seeks a dedicated Payroll/HR Specialist to manage payroll, benefits, and HR operations with cross-training across functions.

You will handle employee relations, onboarding, leave, workers' comp, recruitment, and compliance with federal and state laws, ensuring confidential handling of records in a fast-paced, patient-centered setting for 50–1100+ employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 2+ years’ proven payroll experience.
• Knowledge of local, state and federal guidelines/regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate payroll prep, reports, and records for timely processing.
• Maintain semi-monthly payroll for 50–1100+ employees.
• Process daily timekeeping for department heads and enter edits.
• Reconcile payroll and validate reports prior to transmission.
• Manage payroll variables (overtime, shift differentials, on-call).
• Maintain confidential employee records and ensure audit readiness.
