SmartRecruiters, Inc. in New York seeks a Payroll Funding Associate for the Payroll Funding, Certification and ACH Unit. The successful candidate will fund city agency payrolls, prepare funding schedules, and manage EFT/ACH file verification.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of clerical experience; strong Excel skills and familiarity with RMDS, PMS, CHRMS. On-site at 5 Manhattan West. Salary range is $70,000 to $80,000 USD per year.

Qualifications

• A four-year high school diploma or educational equivalent and one year of clerical experience.
• Keyboard typing at least 100 keystrokes per minute.
• Proficiency with Excel and data entry tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fund all City agencies’ payrolls by preparing Schedule of Funding Forms and submitting PRB1/PHM documents in FMS.
• Calculate EFT escrow amounts and prepare funding schedules for EFT escrows, EFT Net Pay and negative escrows.
• Confirm net pay and escrow deductions ACH files for PMS and PPMS payrolls and release files via Infodex.
• Make daily bank deposits into multiple City accounts using IDD devices and distribute deposits via email.
• Assist with check refund cancellations, direct deposit reversals and negative one-time deductions for direct deposits.
• Respond to direct deposit inquiries by phone or email and manage miscellaneous payroll funding tasks as assigned by supervisors.
