Job summary

Baker Group in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Payroll Support Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to the Payroll Department. You will maintain employee data, prepare reports, and coordinate payroll support functions; this role does not process payroll.

You will work closely with Payroll, HR, Accounting, and Operations to ensure accuracy and compliance, while maintaining confidentiality. This position offers a path for growth within our growing payroll team.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Human Resources, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• One to three years of payroll support, HR, accounting, or administrative experience preferred.
• Experience with ADP Workforce Now (or similar HCM system) and Microsoft Office, including Excel, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate employee records in payroll systems and HR data.
• Respond to questions regarding payroll records, wage updates, and employee information.
• Maintain confidentiality of payroll information at all times.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll administrative processes and documentation.
• Assist with special projects and other payroll support responsibilities as assigned.
