Flow Control Group in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to manage accurate, timely multi-state payroll for 2,800+ employees, including tax review, reporting, and employee inquiries. The role is on-site at our Charlotte office.

You will process payroll for 7 pay groups on various schedules, collaborate with Accounting, HR, Tax, and Finance, and help implement best-practice changes while staying current on regulatory changes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of multi-state payroll processing experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or equivalent.
• Experience with federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a high-volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Process full cycle payroll for 2,800+ employees weekly, bi-weekly, and semi-monthly.
• Produce reports and respond to data requests from Accounting, HR, Tax, and Finance.
• Ensure accuracy of new hires, changes, transfers, promotions, and terminations in payroll systems.
• Collaborate with Management and employees, acting as HR/Accounting liaison.
• Review and improve payroll, benefits, and tax procedures to drive best-practice operations.
• Stay updated on state and federal tax and regulatory changes affecting payroll.
• Coordinate with Operations, HR, and Accounting on cross-departmental data impacts.
• Maintain payroll system records reflecting current employee base, wages, and benefits.
• Create continuity documentation on payroll processes and provide training.
• Perform other duties as needed.
