Qualifications

• Experience in multistate payroll processing, preferably construction.
• Proficient with payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong understanding of tax laws and payroll regulations.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication skills to address employee questions.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Problem-solving abilities for resolving payroll discrepancies or employee concerns.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll weekly for multiple states and types of compensation (hourly, salaried, bonuses, commissions, overtime).
• Maintain records of hours worked, paid time off, and deductions.
• Prepare and submit regular payroll reports to management, HR, and finance; generate audit and tax reports.
• Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries.
• Use payroll software to input and process payroll data and ensure compliance.
