Job summary

Collabera is seeking a Payroll Coordinator in Santa Monica, CA, onsite, for a 6-month assignment. The role requires 2+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience and involves end-to-end payroll for multiple frequencies in a multi-state environment.

You will review and reconcile payroll data for accuracy, ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations including multi-state taxation, and reconcile integration and bank files to ensure timely payroll runs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of payroll processing, payroll accounting, and wage and hour regulations.
• Knowledge of multi-state payroll taxation and compliance requirements is preferred.
• Basic understanding of SOX compliance and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for employees across multiple pay frequencies in a multi-state, unionized environment.
• Review, audit, and reconcile HR and payroll data to identify discrepancies and ensure accurate employee payments.
• Ensure payroll calculations and employee tax information comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including multi-state taxation requirements.
• Reconcile payroll integration files and bank files to ensure accurate and timely payroll transactions.
