Job summary

Valley Health System is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to manage payroll processing for 14 hospitals and related facilities in the Las Vegas region and throughout Northern and Western Nevada. You will oversee time and attendance in UKG and ensure data interfaces with the payroll system, while using Workday to manage the full payroll cycle.

Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF) is required to create reports, reconcile data, and track payroll variances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–5 years of payroll experience.
• Proficient MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, IF).
• Knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll for Nevada's largest provider across multiple facilities.
• Oversee time and attendance in UKG and interface hours with payroll.
• Use Workday to manage full payroll cycle, including data entry, auditing and processing.
• Create custom reports and reconcile payroll data.

Job Description

This position is part of the team responsible for processing the payroll for Nevada's largest healthcare provider, The Valley Health System, a Universal Health Services company. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of 14 hospitals throughout the Las Vegas region, Northern and Western Nevada, Free Standing ER's, and surgical centers. As a VHS Payroll Coordinator, you will oversee time and attendance data within UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group) ensuring hours are interfaced with the payroll system. You will utilize Workday to manage the full payroll cycle, including data entry, auditing and processing. Intermediate Excel skills are required to create custom reports, reconcile payroll data and track payroll variances.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Experience

Three to five years’ experience in payroll required.

Techical Skills

Computer proficiency includes Intermediate MS Excel (must be proficient in VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables and If statements.

Other

General knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
